Wednesday September 19, 2018 I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Bodylicious Couture’s Passport to Freedom Collection. This event was hosted by celebrity stylist Christopher Ryan, music was provided by DJ Karis Madic, and refreshments were served by Chef Sam.
Walking into the venue space gave me a New York art gallery feel, which added to the overall creative theme of this fashion brand.
The pieces on display were very versatile, as the designer makes it very easy to style one piece multiple ways. The designer wore a cape that could have easily been converted into a shawl.
The skirt pictured below would have been office appropriate, but the bottom of the skirt zips off and gives the option to wear this piece as a mini skirt also. Similarly, the jacket pictured below can be worn as is, but the sleeves also zip off for a vest look that can be worn as a summer look, but can easily be layered for a varied fall/winter look.
I love what the designer is working to achieve with these pieces. Women do not live simplistic lifestyles, so these pieces help women to transition from one role to another with ease. Personally, changing outfits is not always a realistic task when moving from one project/event/work-space to another.
